Mission: The Ruth M. Smith Center, as a personal care home, provides a safe environment, meals, assistance with daily living skills, medication administration and community integration. This helps keep some of our most vulnerable community members in this rural area of the County from being institutionalized. We partner with the Sheffield YMCA providing them space in our Community Center for healthy exercise programs and also offering an area for local youth teams in our gym.
Everyone deserves a place to call home – a place to learn – a place to gather. Without the benevolent support we receive, none of this would be possible.
Current Projects/Needs:
“Our need this year is to add a meeting/training/conference room to our kitchen addition. Currently we do not have a space for these needs.”
