Mission: 1. To promote, develop and encourage involvement, participation, and leadership in the preservation, restoration, maintenance, and use of the Struthers Library Theatre buildings in Warren, Pennsylvania. 2. To assist the staff of the Struthers Library Theatre buildings in their educational, literary, musical, and theatrical endeavors for the benefit of the general public, and 3.To participate in the committee structure as established by the Trustees of the Struthers Library Theater, Warren Players, and the Friends of the Library Theater and make recommendations based on the committee findings to the Board of Trustees of the Struthers Library Theatre.
Current Projects/Needs: Friends of the Library Theater is an organization that assists the efforts of the Struthers Library Theatre with volunteers and finances. For many years Friends have been the sponsors of , and volunteers for, the Anne P. Mallinson Film Series at the Theater. We donated money for a portion of the recent purchase of DVD projection equipment that will allow that series to continue in to the future as well as money for numerous small projects at the Theatre for which funds are not always available. The Theatre has suggested several additional projects, including large LED screens to be used to enhance performances and advertise future programing, that are being considered by Friends if funding is available.
