Mission:
To be a community resource for those requiring ongoing grocery assistance, with the goal of reducing levels of food insecurity.
Critical Needs/Projects:
Have available ongoing funding support to purchase basic needs and grocery items for our Neighbors facing food insecurity, especially during holiday times with a focus on traditional Holiday meal items.
Our pantry is located within the walls of the Youngsville New Life Church. Open Tuesdays from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Wednesday through Friday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Handicap accessible.
Besides your name and address, we’ll need to know the size and makeup of the household (how many adults, children, seniors) and an income declaration guideline set by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. Neighbors can come twice a month plus the fourth Saturday of the month from 10:00 am to noon. Our pantry is set up to allow families to select items that suits their needs – much like a grocery store – without a cash register.
We provide new families with a sturdy grocery bag to carry their items each time they come – we ask that they take what they need, one item per family. Keeping in mind there are other families in need in our area and we want to help as many as we can and to be courteous and respectful to other families in attendance and staff.
