At The Crossing Cafe, we believe true encouragement happens when we listen and deeply invest in our neighbors. We measure our success through “Quiet Metrics”—the steady provision of a safe, high-trust sanctuary for those who may be too shy or too weary to publicly share their hardships. At times, that can be any one of us.
Our mission is to lift hearts and minds by offering a consistent community presence without visitors ever feeling the burden of explanation. Many neighbors in Warren carry heavy burdens in private; therefore, we provide a space where they can receive genuine kindness, a warm meal, and a supportive environment without feeling pressured to “perform” their pain or justify their need. By honoring folks wherever they are on their personal journey, we ensure that being helped never feels like an intrusion, but rather a natural extension of belonging, just as God intended. Simply put, we love on people.
If you are at all able, please consider doubling your gift this year! It takes nearly $80K/year to break-even, so $50K is a healthy goal to gain some traction. Please know our volunteer board is also doubling-down on our efforts to maximize your return on investment! We have already invested over 100 hours this past year to lay the groundwork for excelling in our non-profit operations. We currently operate at 90% efficiency and log over 1200 annual hours in volunteer efforts!!! There’s power in numbers, so we challenge every resident in Warren, LIFT ONE ANOTHER UP, help us do more; because we all know “status quo doesn’t grow!”
