Kids In Need (KIN) Fund
Mission: This fund, administered by the Community Foundation and the School District, provides for some of the needs of homeless and other less fortunate students in the Warren County School District.
The Kids In Need (KIN) Fund provides temporary support and critical resources to families facing unexpected hardships in our community. The fund’s long-term goal is not only to meet immediate needs but also to help identify and begin addressing the barriers that create ongoing challenges for children and families.
At its core, the KIN Fund emphasizes the importance of supporting kids in need and ensuring they have access to the stability and resources necessary to thrive. By responding quickly when families face difficult circumstances, the fund helps bridge gaps and provide hope during times of uncertainty.
Since 2015, the KIN Fund has supported 1,216 individuals in our community.
- 70% of those supported are children ages birth to 14.
- 30% are 15 years of age or older.
- On average, 27% of recipients are families or students experiencing homelessness.
Through community generosity and partnership, the KIN Fund continues to make a meaningful difference by supporting vulnerable children and families when they need it most.
